Sherwin-Williams Paint and Sundries Brands has selected Marcus Thomas LLC to manage digital agency of record responsibilities for its Dutch Boy, Purdy, Krylon and Pratt & Lambert brands. The group of brands opened a competition for the business in Q4 of 2012. Marcus Thomas was selected from a group of five agencies in competition for the business.

Diversified Brands’ Director of Brand Marketing Patricia Macko said Marcus Thomas demonstrates a deep understanding of the home improvement and professional decorator category, and offers a unique blend of strategic thinking, creative and digital platform expertise. “Marcus Thomas’ ideas for new mobile and social programs proved to be outstanding and we're looking forward to working with them as we leverage new engagement points with our consumers and professional customers,” Macko said.

"We're excited to be selected digital AOR for these iconic brands, but this win is way more about understanding how consumer engagement is changing today and the role that digital plays in it. A little over a year ago, we made the shift from an agency organized in departments to an agency organized in category-specific groups to promote a true 360 view of our clients’ business,” said Mark Bachmann, Marcus Thomas partner. “This win validates the shift to that structure.”
