Francis turbine is suitable for all kinds of low, medium and large water head. Its features the character that he water inflows along the radium direction,and then outflows along the axial direction when water flows across the blades of turbine runner.

Francis turbines manufactured by Boland can be used in water head from 15m to 250m, the diameter of the runner is from 0.35m to 4.5m, and the installed capacity of a single unit is from 50KW to 50MW roughly.
